Stop Motion
For stop motion, using my smartphone’s camera and some applications such as “ProCamera” and “Slow Shutter Speed” (although I used high shutter speed for this), I tried to play capturing fast actions into frozen motions. I specifically focused on water movements, as the fast-moving subjects, since they were easier and more interesting to capture. Moreover, I tried to play with some bubbles and some food coloring inks, and some objects to drop in the water. These are to specifically concentrate on the subjects' frozen movements.
Blurred Motion
For blurred motion, I was again using my smartphone’s camera and the aforementioned applications while taking advantage of slow shutter speed to capture better results. I tried to focus on the subjects’ motion to capture best the movement while creating a blurred action. Also, I tried my best to not move while capturing the images. This will create image stabilization and will reduce any unwanted camera movement. In this kind of motion, I tried to play with the moving trees and leaves, water, bubbles, cars, and various other subjects.
Panning
For capturing panning images, I once again used the slow shutter speed while slowly moving the camera. This is to freeze the central and focused subject while maintaining the motion of its surrounding. This was honestly the hardest part for me since it was hard to capture better images, however, after several practices, I was able to make simple yet successful panning photos. Also, I specifically and mostly captured the cars’ movements since this was easier to practice for beginners like me.
Long Exposure
For capturing long exposure photos, I used the aforementioned applications once again to create significant results with smoothness in the subjects’ movements. In some of my captured images, I turned my camera into bulb shooting mode while using a slow shutter speed for longer exposure. Also, from my Iphone’s camera, I tried to put it in live mode and directly put it in a longer exposure. This helped me a lot since it made it easier to capture. In this work, I tried to play with small flashlights, water jet transformed into a kind of smooth mist, and other moving subjects.
